Last night a visioning workshop was held at The Edge for the purpose of YES’s future. We had over 45 people (of all ages) attend the workshop to work together to come to a conclusion for the direction of YES and it’s future!!
As a group, we all discussed the ‘vision’ of YES. This was a very important factor of the workshop, as we all needed to come to a combined agreement of what the core values of YES are……………
The photos above show some of the ideas that all of us put together as the vision of YES!!! We wanted to make it clear to everyone ‘What makes YES special/unique’. Everyone contributed at least one idea and each idea was valued as much as the next one!! Some of the ideas (that I have randomly picked out of a hat) are – Love, Making a Difference, Freedom to Be Yourself, Inspiring, and Empowering!!! Many people wrote ‘Christine Guy’ – (Chris is what makes YES a very special place to go, and we would all like to thank Chris for everything that she does. Chris is an inspiration to everyone!! Thanks Chris

We think that everyone who attended the workshop, were so valuable for YES’s future, as there was such a vast variety of ages that we were all able to voice our opinion and thoughts to help YES grow into an even more successful charity!
We would like to thank everyone who came to the workshop……and if anyone would like to see the notes (which have been very kindly collated by Sarah and Rachel) then feel free to ask us. We can email you them as an attachment if you would like! Once again, thank you to everyone, and really big thank you to Carrie from NCVO for guiding us through the workshop and being an excellent mentor for the vision of YES!!!
Sammy decided to randomly make bracelets and show off his creativity!! The outcome was excellent, and now everybody wants one!! You better get cracking with the rest Sammy!!

We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to Sean, our newest volunteer. He has been working extremely hard to get the painting of the upstairs room completed before the Devon Open Studios Event begins.
He is now painting the partitions in the main hall, it looks better already! Thanks again Sean
